Matriarch Studs

Kula is inspired by elephants as beings, not motifs. The way a herd moves together, how a matriarch remembers the way home, and how closely their lives are tied to one another and to the land.

That way of seeing found its way into these pieces. In the silhouettes, the imprints, patterns and the shadows. Pieces that don’t resemble an elephant so much as leave you with the feeling of her presence.
